A beautiful tropical área of 30 hectares with untouched beaches in northeastern Brazil, chosen by a swiss group to develop a socio-economic sustainable resort. Rooms, bungalows and houses of various types are sparsely distributed trough the área. In order to leave the fragile native vegetation untouched whenever possible, many building rest over slender steel posts.The development will be carbon neutral and take advantage of a sophisticated organic aesthetic. Clean renewable energy will be produced locally. All waste produced will be either treated or recycled.
A mix of Glulam beams, CLT panels and CORTEN steel elements is the structural technology chosen for all of the buildings. All buildings combine free organic traces with prismatic volumes, varying according to diferente uses and budget managing troughout the development. Handicraft local boats were a reference used troughout the Project.
